Guest Harbour

Havnnes has a guest harbour for visitors to Havnnes Handelssted in the Lyngen fjord. As a living trading post, workplace, and residential area, we kindly ask all guests to read the information below carefully before arrival.

Before arrival

All larger visiting boats must contact us in advance before arrival, regardless of the vessel’s size or the length of stay. This is necessary to clarify capacity, mooring arrangements, and other practical matters before arrival. This does not apply to local small leisure boats visiting for the day.

Mooring and capacity

All berths on the floating dock are private and reserved for commercial use. It is therefore not permitted to moor in the berths without prior agreement.

​

Guest boats may use only the outside of the floating dock, provided capacity is available. Capacity is limited, and there is normally space for up to three sailing boats at the floating dock. Other vessels must use the main quay. All arrivals must be agreed in advance.

Electricity and practical information

Only maintenance power is available at the quay. There are good opportunities for secure mooring using bollards.
A fee is charged for use of the guest quay (this does not apply to day visits). Updated pricing information can be found further down on this page.

Facilities

The guest harbour offers access to a range of practical facilities, including shore power, fresh water, showers, toilets, washing machines, fuel, a playground, a bathing area, parking, and groceries.

​

There is also a sauna, jacuzzi and relaxation area on site for guests who would like a little extra comfort during their stay.

​

We also offer electric bike hire, allowing you to explore the rest of the island.
